Widely used for detecting the rectifying efficiency or for switching on
a radio, TV, stereo, etc. When paired with a resistor in a
circuit, these can be used to drop the voltage output from

volts to the desired 1.3 volts that many older cameras and exposure
meters require. As a side note, these are also great for
